Press-release: Instantaneous communication of employees as a step-by-step improvement of the efficiency of the whole business

November 9, 2009 — B Labs has announced the release of version 3.3.5 of Bopup Communication Server, a server-based software product for the organization of the Instant Messaging (IM) and File Transfer system with encryption-enabled between the employees of one office or of the whole company.

Bopup Communication Server enables to adjust a fully autonomous and independent message system within the company or to unite several remote branches simultaneously into a single IM network for the safe and secure exchange of instant messages and documents between the employees. New version 3.3.5 offers even more flexible and developed functional possibilities, which take into account the specific nature of instant messaging between the employees within the organization. It facilitates easy adjustment of the IM system according to the required tasks as well as helps to control the whole process of instantaneous and real-time collaboration.

The server, which is oriented on the usage in the business environment, suggests the development of the opportunity on the centralized administration and management, secures the encryption of all the transmitted data, saves the message and file history, granting the access to the correspondence logs of the employees, including such key features as:

Employees grouping according to the departments, positions and any other criteria with the assignment of the rights for sending messages and documents on the created groups
Messages and transmitted files strong encryption in order to exclude the loss of information and eavesdropping, even if the transmission is carried out by means of the Internet-connection
Storing and sending offline messages and documents for their guaranteed and reliable delivery in case they were addressed to the employees when the latter were not online
Distribution of documents and files for their subsequent delivery to the addressees completely in the automatic mode
Creation and dispatch of the emergency and urgent messages at the scheduled time or with the specified regularity
Built-in functionality to upload new versions of the client messengers on the communication server in order to automatically update the installed versions on the user computers

The new version 3.3.5 of Bopup Communication Server supports different modes of user authorization including Windows Authentication, which secures a high level of safety and compatibility in corporate LAN/WAN/VPN environments. Functionality of the user account import of the employees from Active Directory (LDAP) catalogue and deployment of the client applications through the inbuilt Group Policies enables easy installation and adjustment of the Instant Messaging system in the shortest possible time.

The server supports two different types of IM clients as user applications. A full-range client of Bopup Messenger enables the users to exchange messages and documents with their colleagues, to see who is available for contact at the moment. Client Bopup Observer serves only for accepting important messages and documents without any possibility of their sending. It is designed for emergency and immediate notification of the employees at their working places.
